Candidates/People applying for an offshore skilled migration visa (and any dependants included in their application) may be in Australia at the time they lodge their application. However, they must be outside Australia at the time the visa is granted.
Skilled-Independent
If you are under 45 years of age, have positive skills, related qualification and work experience then you can apply.

- Clear the points test.
Skilled-Independent Regional (Provisional) (SIR)
If you are under 45 years of age who wish to live in regional Australia however is not able to meet the Criteria for Permanent Visa.
Applicants who can meet the pass mark for the SIR, which is lower than the pass mark for the other general skilled migration visa categories, are granted a 3 year temporary visa.
To apply in this category, you must:
- Eligibility-Criteria
- Have a skilled occupation from the Skilled Occupation list.
- Meet the SIR (Provisional) pass mark.
- Have positive assessment in a 60 point skill level occupation, or - if you have completed.
- An Australian doctorate degree - a 50 point skill level occupation.
- Hold successful sponsorship from a relevant state/territory authority.
Skilled- State Territory Nominated Independent
If you are highly skilled and have Qualification, positive Working Experience which can helps Australian economy to rise and is willing to settle in States and Territories where their skills are in demand.
To apply for this category you must:
- Eligibility-Criteria
- Nominate a skilled occupation from the Skilled Occupation List.
- Pass the pool mark for the Skilled-Independent category.
- Have successful by a participating State or Territory.
Participating States and Territories select nominees to meet a skill shortage in their area.
The State or Territory is not employer. However, as a shortage of skills has been identified, it is anticipated a job may be found quickly.
Successful applicants have a number of obligations, including to:
- Live in the State or Territory for 2 years
- Keep Govt. update of changes in Address.
- Participate in Surveys when required.
Skill Matching Visa
If you are not certain to pass the points test then you can apply for this category of Skilled Independent and Skill matching visa.
They can have their details placed on the Skill Matching Database for up to 2 years.
There is no fee for the Skill Matching visa. The application fee is paid only when an applicant is nominated by a State or Territory government or by an employer.
After 2 years, if an applicant is not nominated, their details will be removed from the database and the application refused.

Skilled-Designated Area Sponsored
This category is for people who have skills and have a relative living in a designated area of Australia who is willing to sponsor them.
To apply for this category, you must:

- Nominate a skilled occupation from the Skilled Occupation List.
- Nominate a skilled occupation from the Skilled Occupation List
- Hold a sponsor who lives in one of the designated areas (you or your spouse must be related to the sponsor)
- Have an assurer.
Its non point's visa.
Skilled -Australian Sponsored
You must:
- Eligibility-Criteria
- Nominate a skilled occupation from the Skilled Occupation List.
- Have a sponsor (you or your spouse must be related to the sponsor)
- Have an assurer.
Business Visa
The business visa is for successful business owners who intend to use their skills in operation of an Australian business and participate in the business at a senior level, for this category you need to have 2 of the last 4 fiscal years before making the application.
For clearing eligibility criteria you must-
- Successful business background
- You should have AUD 200,000.00 net assets in business.
- You should be aware of management responsibility.
- Involvement and responsible for overall business
Additional Requirements
- Successful business career
- Net Assets in business of AUD 100,000.00
- Net Assets in Australia of AUD 250,000.00
- Efficient management
- Most important you score 105 points in point test.
Family Migration
This visa consists of the following visas-
- Fiancée
- Interdependent visa
- Spouse or defacto visa
- Child adopted overseas
- Career
- Parent visa
- Dependent child
Spouse Provisional visa
Getting permanent residence for spouse, including spouse defacto is 2 stage processes. First a provisional spouse visa is granted and then after 2 years from the date off application the situation is re assessed and the permanent visa may be granted.
For the provisional visa applicant must-
- Have sponsorship
- Should be of 18 years of age
- Should be legally married to the sponsored or or intend to get married
- Relationship should be 12 months old
- Should have an exclusive relationship
- Should be living together or living apart only temporarily
You cannot sponsor 2 partners within a life time and there must be 5 years gap between the first and second sponsorship
Prospective Marriage Visa
It's a temporary visa for people who are engaged to be married to an Australian citizen This visa is for 9 months from the date of grant and the applicant and sponsored must get married during that time. Once married the applicant can apply for the spouse temporary and permanent visas.
Child Visa
this visa allows children who are adopted by an Australian citizen, permanent resident or eligible New Zealand citizen to migrate to Australia

The sponsor must
- Be approved by the govt and must be aged 18 or above
